The food operation is varied, covering refined dining, relaxed dining, conferences, banqueting and weddings. The business is looking for someone who can see the bigger picture across all outlets, bringing consistency, commercial awareness and strong organisation to create a seamless, well managed kitchen operation.

This role would suit an Executive Head Chef who is passionate about leadership, team culture and local produce. You will need to build a strong kitchen team around you, create a positive working environment and bring everyone together with one shared goal, delivering excellent food, smooth service and a guest experience that reflects the setting, the produce and the ambition of the hotel.

  • Experienced Executive Head Chef or Head Chef with strong multi outlet hotel experience
  • Confident leading refined dining, relaxed dining, conferences, banqueting and weddings
  • Passionate about local produce, seasonality and a farm to fork style food direction
  • Commercially aware, with strong understanding of food costs, GP, labour and kitchen performance
  • A true kitchen leader who can build, train and develop a strong brigade
  • Able to create a positive team culture where everyone works together towards the same goal
  • Organised, consistent and able to put strong kitchen systems and standards in place
  • Creative, with the ability to take quality Yorkshire produce and elevate it with skill and purpose

Responsibilities
  • Lead the full kitchen operation across all hotel food outlets
  • Rebuild kitchen standards, systems and fundamentals from the ground up
  • Develop menus that champion locally sourced Yorkshire produce and seasonal ingredients
  • Support the long term development of a stronger farm to fork food identity
  • Oversee refined dining, relaxed dining, conference, banqueting and wedding food
  • Build, train and lead a strong kitchen brigade with a positive and unified culture
  • Manage food costs, GP, stock control, supplier relationships and labour performance
  • Ensure smooth, consistent and well organised service across every outlet
  • Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, cleanliness and compliance standards
  • Work closely with senior management to support the hotel’s wider vision and guest experience
