This role would suit a Sous Chef who is passionate about fine food, confident supporting a high performing brigade and ready to make their mark within an ambitious kitchen. You will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain exceptional standards, support junior chefs and help deliver memorable dining experiences where heritage, precision and creativity come together. This role provides relocation support.
Sous Chef Ideal Profile:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef in a high quality restaurant or luxury hotel kitchen
- Confident working within a multi AA Rosette, fine dining or refined fresh food environment
- Passionate about seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and carefully executed dishes
- Comfortable leading and motivating a team during busy services
- Strong understanding of food quality, consistency, flavour and presentation
- Able to support kitchen operations, ordering, stock control and waste management
- Knowledgeable in food hygiene, safety and allergen procedures
- Passionate about team development and supporting junior chefs
- Calm, organised and professional with strong attention to detail
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen
- Lead the team during service to ensure smooth and consistent delivery
- Oversee food preparation and presentation to exceptional standards
- Work with seasonal ingredients sourced from trusted local suppliers
- Support the delivery of evolving menus inspired by the region and the surrounding landscape
- Manage stock levels, storage procedures and kitchen organisation
