This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven Sales Manager to join an independent 4 star hotel in the Northamptonshire area. The property offers a wide range of facilities, including accommodation, golf, spa, leisure, weddings, meetings, events, private dining and food and beverage, making this a varied and commercially exciting role.

The hotel is part of a wider hospitality group with a growing portfolio of properties, offering a great platform for someone who wants to build strong client relationships, drive sales and help position the hotel as a leading destination for corporate, leisure and event business. This role will cover both proactive and reactive sales, so you will need to be confident generating new opportunities while also converting incoming enquiries into confirmed revenue.

This position would suit a commercially minded Sales Manager who is passionate about hospitality, meeting people and building long term relationships. You will work closely with the senior commercial team and hotel operations to grow revenue across bedrooms, meetings, weddings, conferences, events, golf, spa and food and beverage, while ensuring every client receives a professional and memorable experience.

Sales Manager Ideal Profile

  • Previous experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, events sales or a similar commercial role
  • Experience within a 4 star hotel, leisure hotel, spa hotel, golf resort or events venue would be beneficial
  • Confident managing both proactive and reactive sales activity
  • Strong relationship builder with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities and drive revenue
  • Passionate about hospitality, events, weddings and guest experience
  • Able to convert enquiries, showrounds and proposals into confirmed business
  • Organised and proactive with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with internal teams to ensure a smooth handover from sale to delivery
  • Motivated by targets, client relationships and business growth

Sales Manager Responsibilities

  • Drive sales across rooms, meetings, events, weddings, golf, spa, leisure and food and beverage
  • Generate new business through proactive outreach, networking and relationship building
  • Manage incoming enquiries, proposals and showrounds professionally and efficiently
  • Build strong relationships with corporate clients, local businesses, wedding couples, event organisers and agency partners
