This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a boutique, neighbourhood style restaurant in Margate, with plans to develop further as part of a growing hospitality business.
The role would suit a Head Chef who enjoys refined but approachable food, strong local produce, and the operational side of increasing covers, revenue and site potential.
The food style is British with French influence, focused on seasonal ingredients, clean execution, consistency and flavour rather than fussy techniques.
The menu is seasonal without changing too frequently, giving loyal guests the dishes they love while still allowing space for creativity through specials, private dining, sharing and feasting menus, and set menus for key occasions.
The restaurant has an open kitchen, 25 indoor covers, 25 terrace covers and a private dining room, creating a varied role across service, guest interaction and menu development.
There is also clear opportunity to grow the terrace offer beyond bar snacks into a stronger outdoor dining experience, especially during summer.
This is a £50,000 package, made up of £40,000 salary plus expected tronc of £10,000, with relocation support available either through temporary hotel accommodation or a contribution towards moving costs.
The business is looking for a confident, consistent and growth driven Head Chef who can lead the brigade, manage GP, stock and staffing costs, and help shape future expansion plans.
You must be able to reliably commute or relocate to the area using support. Please note that this role does not provide Sponsorship; to apply you need a full British Passport or the right to work in the UK.
