This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Sous Chef or experienced Sous Chef who is ready to take that exciting first step into a Head Chef position.
This role is designed for someone who has built strong experience in quality kitchens, understands what it takes to run a successful service and now feels ready to lead, shape and take ownership of their own kitchen.

The food offering is focused on fresh, seasonal produce, quality cooking and memorable guest experiences, with the freedom to bring ideas, energy and personality into the kitchen while still having guidance from an experienced Regional Head Chef.
This is not a role where you will be left to figure everything out alone.
You will have support from a wider culinary structure, while still being trusted to lead the day to day kitchen operation, develop your brigade and put your own stamp on the food.

- Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef ready to step into a first Head Chef position
- Passionate about seasonal produce, fresh ingredients and quality cooking
- Confident leading a kitchen team and supporting daily service standards
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage prep, service and kitchen workflow
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of food costs, GP performance and stock control
- Able to train, develop and motivate a kitchen brigade
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work closely with a Regional Head Chef and wider culinary team
- Calm and focused under pressure in a busy hotel kitchen environment
- Committed to maintaining high standards across food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen organisation
- Ambitious, driven and excited by future progression within a growing hotel group
- Able to drive due to the location and accommodation arrangements
Responsibilities
- Lead the day to day running of the kitchen at The Swan at Hay
- Work closely with the Regional Head Chef to deliver a clear and consistent food vision
- Develop and inspire the kitchen team, creating a positive and professional culture
- Prepare and deliver high quality seasonal dishes across the hotel food offering
- Maintain strong standards across presentation, consistency, taste and guest experience
- Manage kitchen organisation, prep planning and service delivery
- Support food cost control, GP performance, stock management and ordering
- Ensure excellent standards across food safety, hygiene and health and safety
- Share ideas and contribute to the ongoing development of the food offering
- Support wider hotel events and collaborative activity across the group when required
