This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Breakfast Chef to join the kitchen brigade of a prestigious luxury country estate hotel, set within breathtaking North Yorkshire countryside on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The estate offers a diverse and exciting food operation, from refined restaurant dining to afternoon tea, chef’s table experiences, private dining and a countryside café. This role is focused on delivering a high quality breakfast experience for hotel guests, ensuring every morning starts with the same attention to detail, consistency and warm hospitality expected across the wider estate.

This role would suit a Breakfast Chef who takes real pride in quality, organisation and consistency. You will be confident preparing and delivering a busy breakfast service, maintaining excellent standards and supporting a professional kitchen team within a luxury hotel environment. This role does provide accommodation, so you must be able to reliably commute or relocate to staff accommodation. Please note that this role does not provide Sponsorship; to apply you will need a full British Passport or the right to work in the UK.

Breakfast Chef Ideal Profile:

  • Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef in a quality hotel or fresh food kitchen
  • Confident running breakfast service to a high and consistent standard
  • Passionate about working with fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
  • Strong attention to detail across preparation, cooking, presentation and timing
  • Calm, organised and dependable during busy morning service periods
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene, allergens, stock rotation and kitchen safety
  • Positive team player with a professional and reliable approach
  • A genuine desire to develop within luxury hospitality

Breakfast Chef Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, cook and present high quality breakfast dishes for hotel guests
  • Run breakfast service smoothly, ensuring dishes are delivered consistently and efficiently
  • Complete morning mise en place and prepare ingredients to agreed standards
  • Work with fresh, estate grown and locally sourced produce where required
  • Maintain excellent standards across presentation, portion control and food quality
  • Support the wider kitchen team with preparation and daily kitchen organisation
  • Manage stock rotation, food storage, cleanliness and hygiene within your section
  • Ensure allergen procedures, food safety standards and health and safety requirements are followed at all times
  • Contribute to a positive, professional and supportive kitchen culture
