The food offering is tasting menu led, with seasonal menus updated throughout the year and dishes continuing to develop daily. Guests can choose from different menu lengths, with vegetarian and pescatarian options also available, creating a detailed and carefully considered dining experience that requires consistency, precision and strong organisation from the kitchen team.

This role is ideal for a Senior Sous Chef who wants to work in a progressive environment where flavour, technique and creativity are equally important. You will support the Head Chef in leading a talented brigade, helping to maintain Michelin starred standards while contributing to a kitchen that is constantly evolving and pushing the perception of modern Indian cooking in the UK.

This role does not provide accommodation, so you must be able to reliably commute or relocate to the area. Please note that this role does not provide Sponsorship, to apply you will need a full British Passport or the right to work in the UK.

You Will Need:

  • Proven experience in a high quality kitchen, preferably in a Senior Sous Chef or similar role.
  • Previous Michelin starred or highly awarded restaurant experience would be highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a kitchen team.
  • Confident working with tasting menus, refined plating and precise service standards.
  • A genuine interest in Indian flavours, global cooking techniques and modern culinary development.
  • Strong decision making skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Creative culinary skills with an understanding of menu development and seasonal progression.
  • Meticulous attention to detail ensuring all dishes meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Flexibility to adapt to peak service times and changing work conditions.

Senior Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the kitchen team, ensuring efficient operation and professional growth.
  • Support the delivery of Michelin starred tasting menus with consistency, precision and creativity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of menu items to meet guest expectations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies and optimise waste control to maintain budget.
  • Uphold stringent food safety and quality standards through regular checks and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, staff scheduling and other administrative duties.
  • Support the continued development of dishes as menus evolve throughout the season.
  • Address and incorporate customer feedback to continually enhance the dining experience.
