We are looking for talented Relief Chefs at all levels to support a range of high standard hospitality venues across Scotland. With opportunities available from Chef de Partie through to Sous Chef and Head Chef level, this is a fantastic way to fill your diary with flexible, quality led assignments that match your experience.
These roles are based across luxury hotels, country estates, prestigious restaurants and refined dining venues, so we are looking for chefs who are confident working in kitchens where standards, consistency, presentation and attention to detail really matter.
Assignments will vary depending on the venue, with some requiring support for busy services, events, seasonal trade or ongoing kitchen cover. This is a strong opportunity for chefs with AA Rosette, Michelin Star, fine dining or high quality fresh food experience who enjoy variety and can adapt quickly to different brigades, menus and kitchen styles.
Some Relief roles offer accommodation, while others will require you to reliably commute to the venue. There are PAYE options available with weekly pay, as well as invoice direct roles, giving you flexibility around the type of work that best suits you.

You will Need:
- Experience at Chef de Partie, Sous Chef or Head Chef level
- A background in AA Rosette, Michelin Star, fine dining or high quality fresh food kitchens
- Confident working across sections with strong all round kitchen skills
- Passionate about fresh produce, refined cooking and consistent standards
- Able to work independently and as part of a brigade during busy service
- Comfortable adapting to different kitchen setups, menus and service styles
- Strong attention to detail across preparation, flavour, presentation and organisation
- Reliable, flexible and able to support both short term and ongoing assignments
- Committed to maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and professionalism
- A positive, can do attitude with the ability to step into quality kitchens and add value quickly
Relief Chef Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and present high quality dishes using fresh ingredients
- Support kitchens across luxury hotels, estates, restaurants and prestigious hospitality venues
- Work confidently across different sections depending on the needs of the venue
- Maintain the standards expected within AA Rosette, Michelin Star, fine dining or high quality kitchens
- Assist with busy services, events, seasonal trade and ongoing kitchen cover
- Support the brigade in maintaining smooth kitchen operations
- Uphold excellent food hygiene, health and safety and allergen standards
