About the role
Electrician / Fibre Technician Job Type: Contract Sector: Water / MEICA / Industrial Engineering
We're currently looking for an experienced Electrician / Fibre Technician to join a major industrial engineering project.
The Role
Working as part of the site installation team, you'll be responsible for both electrical and fibre optic installations across the treatment works.
Duties will include
- Industrial electrical installation works
- Installation of containment (tray, ladder, trunking and conduit)
- Installing and terminating SWA, multicore and control cabling
- Fibre optic cable installation and routing
- Fibre optic termination and testing
- Installation of fibre patch panels and communications cabinets
- Wiring control panels, PLC panels and MCCs
- Installation of pumps, motors, instrumentation and associated equipment
- Fault finding and commissioning support
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- ECS Gold Card
- Industrial electrical installation experience
- Experience installing and terminating fibre optic cabling
- Experience with control cabling and industrial communications
- Full UK Driving Licence
