We're recruiting for an established international engineering business looking for an Employee Experience & Community Engagement Specialist to help shape how employees experience the organisation from joining through to ongoing engagement.
This is a broad, hands-on role covering onboarding, employee engagement, university partnerships, community initiatives and employer brand activity. You'll work closely with HR, Talent Acquisition and Marketing, with plenty of opportunity to develop and improve existing programmes.
What you'll be doing
Own and continually improve the onboarding experience for new starters Coordinate induction programmes and work with hiring managers to ensure employees have a strong start Develop employee engagement, recognition and wellbeing initiatives Gather employee feedback and use it to identify areas for improvement Build relationships with universities and colleges, supporting careers fairs, internships and placement programmes Develop relationships with community organisations and charitable partners Coordinate volunteering, community and employee events Work with Marketing and Talent Acquisition to promote the organisation as an employer Help create content around careers, workplace culture and employee stories Support activity across LinkedIn, Glassdoor and other relevant channels Track engagement, onboarding and employer-brand activity to measure what is working What we're looking for You'll need experience delivering people-focused programmes within an HR, Talent Acquisition or Employee Experience environment.
In particular, we're looking for someone who has been involved in areas such as onboarding, employee engagement, university or early-careers activity, employer branding or community programmes.
You'll also need: Strong communication and relationship-building skills Good organisation and project-management ability Experience coordinating events, programmes or campaigns Confidence working with a range of internal and external stakeholders An interest in employer brand, social media and employee engagement This would suit someone who enjoys a varied role and wants responsibility for projects that directly influence employee experience, attraction and engagement.
