Our client based in the Holywell area is currently looking to recruit a Quality Manager on a permanent basis. The purpose of the Quality Manager is to ensure that our clients products and services meet all necessary requirements before they reach the consumer. The Quality Manager will inspect the final product to make sure it has been built with compliance to legal standards and meets customer expectations. You will need to be thorough and observant with an eye for detail. You must fully understand the requirements for the product or service and have a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers as well as the competition. The goal is to help preserve our clients reputation by ensuring that their products and services are capable to drive sustainable growth.
Performance Objectives

Ensure compliance and development of installed systems including: ISO 9001, TS16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ATEX, PED, ISPM15 and PAS99.

Main contact with external bodies for the above standards.

Improve profitability by taking a proactive role in Quality Assurance matters, particularly the design process and FMEA, as well as advising on statutory requirements for both general business and major contracts.

Seek and exploit opportunities for continuous improvement within the Company’s systems and procedures.

Encourage a culture of continuous improvement.

Conducting internal and external audits.

Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.

Devise and review specifications for products or processes.

Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance.

Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations.

Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.

Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards.

Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements.

Approve the right products or reject defectives.

Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.

Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met.

Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives.

Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.

Degree or equivalent (possibly by experience) in a technical discipline.

Project management skills would be an advantage.

Experience in a quality role in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment, is essential.

Experience of some of the other standards listed above would be an advantage.

Computer literate – must be able to use MS Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.

ERP system, Syspro would be an advantage.

Proactive, energetic and comfortable working with employees at all levels.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
