G&H Care is seeking a compassionate, dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to support vulnerable children, young people and their families. The successful candidate will play an important role in safeguarding children, promoting their welfare and ensuring they receive the care, protection and support they need to achieve positive outcomes.
You will work closely with children, families, foster carers, residential children's homes, schools, health professionals, local authorities and other agencies to assess needs, manage risks and develop effective care plans.

Child Protection and Safeguarding: Identify safeguarding concerns, assess risks and take appropriate action to protect children from abuse, neglect and exploitation.
Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct assessments of children's needs and develop, implement and review appropriate care plans.
Direct Work with Children and Families: Build positive relationships with children, young people and their families, ensuring their wishes, feelings and views are considered in decision-making.
Case Management: Maintain accurate case records, prepare reports and ensure assessments and documentation are completed within required timescales.
Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with schools, healthcare professionals, police, residential care providers, foster carers and other relevant agencies.
Child Protection Procedures: Participate in child protection conferences, looked-after child reviews, strategy discussions and other statutory meetings as required.
Court and Legal Work: Prepare reports and provide evidence for court proceedings where required by the role.
Risk Management: Monitor changes in children's circumstances, respond to emerging risks and take appropriate safeguarding action.
Family Support: Work with parents and carers to improve outcomes for children and support family stability wherever appropriate.
