G & H Care Limited is opening a children's residential home in Kirkby, and we are looking for an experienced, child-focused Registered Manager to lead it. You'll take the home through its Ofsted registration and build and lead a team that gives children and young people a safe, stable and caring place to live.

A 3-bedroom children's home in Kirkby for young people aged 10 to 17 with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and learning disabilities (LD). The property, Statement of Purpose, policies and procedures are in place. Our provider registration is being managed by the Directors with the support of an experienced registration consultant.
About the role
We're looking for a child-focused Registered Manager to lead the home and its team. You'll apply for your own registration as manager with our full support, then lead the home to a strong first inspection. This is a chance to shape a small, nurturing home from day one, giving young people a safe, stable and caring place to live.
We'd love to hear from you if you are:
an experienced Registered Manager who has been through Ofsted registration and inspection, or
a Deputy Manager ready to step up and become a Registered Manager, with the experience Ofsted expects.
What you'll be doing
Leading the home's Ofsted registration, including the fit person interview, and preparing for inspection.
Making sure the home meets the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
Recruiting, training, supervising and inspiring a team of residential support workers.
Leading safeguarding as the home's Designated Safeguarding Lead, working with social workers, the LADO, schools, health services and the police.
Overseeing care planning, placement plans, risk assessments and records.
Building positive relationships with local authorities, families and professionals.
Managing the home's budget, rotas and day-to-day running.
What you'll need
At least two years' experience in the last five years working in a children's residential home, including at least one year in a supervisor...
