Fulwell 73 specialises in the production of prolific and high-quality television, film, branded content and music promos underpinned by leading writers, producers, directors and talent. Fulwell operates across the US, as well as the UK, especially in the TV and music space. Its award-winning programming spans a diverse set of genres, including scripted comedy, factual entertainment, sports documentaries and documentary series, with a strong focus on talent led programming.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Showrunner to lead a premium, large-scale sports documentary series that spans the entire length and breadth of the United States of America. An ideal candidate will have wide experience in running best-in-class sports documentaries for worldwide streaming giants, a proven eye for picking and developing emotional human stories and a track record of managing multiple shooting teams across multiple locations all at once. You will have the ability and expertise to establish and maintain relationships with big sports talent and franchises, as well as the foresight and dynamism to see always developing stories through from start to finish in the edit.
Potential Contract Dates: January 2023 - November 2023 TBD
Location: USA / UK hybrid. Shooting will take place entirely in USA, edit likely to be London-based.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee and drive the entire production from start to finish
- Work closely with the Executive Producers to lead and define the creative, set the look and feel of the show
- Define team structure and workflow, identifying key staff and managing those people
- Collaborate with Production Executive to best use budget and resources to deliver exceptional content to an immovable deadline.
- Lead and coordinate multiple shooting teams at once across the entire country.
- Liaise with network/broadcaster to meet their needs
Skills and Experience:
- Experience of managing multiple shooting teams in sports/entertainment environments
- Experience of gaining and maintaining access to high-level franchises and communities.
- Experience of running shoots and edits simultaneously to hit deadline
- The ability to identify exceptional story threads and pivot when necessary
- An interest in American sports is helpful, but not essential.
