Our client was established in 2015 and they are an independent, family run business based in Kent specialising in creating and maintaining gardens to the highest standards. They are now seeking a skilled Horticulturalist to join our successful, dedicated team and become part of the company’s growth. Job Description: * The person appointed will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks where a high standard is essential. These will include: * · Assisting with general garden maintenance tasks such as general seasonal bed and border care, soil conditioning, mulching weeding, pruning, cutting back, tying in. * · Planting of trees, shrubs, perennials and bulbs. * · Lawn mowing, strimming, edging, hedge trimming, low level tree pruning and lopping. * · Operating and maintaining various garden machinery including mowers and hedge cutters. * · Treatment of pest and disease using environmentally friendly treatments and techniques * · Use, care and maintain tools according to Health and Safety guidelines. Key Skills: * · We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a strong horticultural knowledge who will put all their creativity and imagination into their work and be part of a talented team. * · Candidates must be a good Team player, be able to show initiative, have excellent practical skills and experience in all areas of horticulture with a good eye for detail. * · They will have a strong work ethic and be able to demonstrate a successful track record of delivering high quality workmanship. * · It is important that they have excellent communication skills, combined with a pro-active and flexible approach to their duties. * · They must also possess excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
