About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join a busy and supportive GP Practice in Northampton.

Location: Northampton
Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Salary: £35,000-£50,000 (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care within a GP Practice setting
  • Undertake chronic disease management clinics, including Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, and Hypertension
  • Administer vaccinations, immunisations, and injectable medications
  • Perform cervical cytology and support family planning and contraception services
  • Provide wound care, dressings, and post‑operative care
  • Support minor surgery clinics alongside GPs
  • Undertake patient assessments, triage, and follow‑up care
  • Promote health education, lifestyle advice, and disease prevention
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary primary care team
  • Contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care
  • Willingness to undertake further training and professional development

Desirable

  • Previous experience working within General Practice or Primary Care
  • Experience managing long‑term conditions
  • Cervical Cytology qualification
  • Immunisation and vaccination experience
  • Family planning and contraception experience
  • Experience using SystmOne
