Role Overview: Join our dedicated team at Healsgood as a Band 5 Mammographer. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality mammographic services to our patients. You will work within a supportive and dynamic environment, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care and contributing to the early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality mammographic examinations in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure the accurate positioning of patients to obtain optimal imaging results.
- Operate mammographic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to all radiation protection standards and maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the mammography department, including equipment maintenance and inventory management.
Required Qualifications And Experience
- Registered Radiographer with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- Completion of NHS mandatory training.
- Proven experience in mammographic imaging (desirable but not essential for entry-level positions).
