Job Purpose: To manage the safe and efficient receipt of fresh-produce and packaging deliveries, ensuring all products are checked, recorded, and stored correctly while maintaining high food-safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Check delivery documentation (delivery notes, invoices, pallet labels) and send discrepancies.
- Count and verify quantities, product descriptions, and batch/lot numbers.
- Move goods to correct storage locations using PPT or FLT (if trained).
- Collaborate with QC, warehouse, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Report and record all waste materials/product.
- Book into the system packed product and raw materials and allocate to packhouse/warehouse cold stores/despatch.
- Maintain processing of information within our ERP system.
- Ensure pallets/movements per hour standards are met and improved.
- Complete unloading, checking, and recording of deliveries within required timeframes.
- Handle incoming deliveries efficiently to support daily operational targets.
- Ensure all products are accepted in line with the current product specification.
- Accurately complete all intake documentation, including delivery notes, weight, pallet counts, and batch/lot numbers.
- Report disciplinary issues to a supervisor/manager.
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Computer proficiency.
- Must have a flexible approach to work.
- Good communication skills required.
- Accuracy and ability to prioritise.
- Wednesday-Saturday Night shift available.
