Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to gain hands-on experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and motivated individual to work on a 1:1 basis with a primary-aged pupil in a supportive Bristol school from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Teaching, Speech and Language Therapy, Mental Health, or Social Work.
The Role As a 1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will: Build a positive and trusting relationship with a primary-aged pupil.
Support the child's emotional regulation and social development.
Help the pupil access learning within the classroom.
Implement behaviour support strategies and work alongside the class teacher and SENCO.
Provide consistent encouragement and reassurance throughout the school day.
Support the development of confidence, self-esteem, and independence.
Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals where required.
The Ideal Candidate Holds a degree in Psychology or a related subject.
Has a genuine interest in SEN, SEMH, and child development.
Is patient, empathetic, and emotionally resilient.
