First Base About the role
Location: Clevedon, North Somerset
Salary: 28,608 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45
Friday: 08:45 - 16:00 (includes a paid 45-minute lunch break and an early finish)
The Role
We are recruiting for a Quality Control Technician to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business. Working within the Compliance Technical Team, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest quality and food safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous quality control experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quality control testing on finished products and raw materials.
- Upload quality data onto SAP and release approved products.
- Set up and coordinate taste panels.
- Prepare and dispatch samples for chemical, microbiological and allergen testing.
- Complete scheduled microbiological swabbing and water sampling.
- Support production by responding to technical queries and completing associated documentation.
- Assist with technical projects and provide wider support to the Technical Team.
About You
- Previous experience within a Quality Control or Quality Assurance environment.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
