About EFI Group

EFI Group has a bold mission to transform lives, careers and industries through pioneering, industry-led education in fashion, beauty and apprenticeships. Our vision is to deliver exceptional learning experiences, driven by innovation, inclusion, employability, and excellence.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Head of Inclusion to provide operational leadership for inclusion, SEND provision and belonging practice across EFI Group. Working within the strategic direction set by the Associate Director of Belonging & Inclusive Practice, you will lead the day-to-day implementation of EFI's Belonging & Inclusive Practice Strategy across Further Education, Higher Education and Apprenticeship provision.

You will oversee the operational delivery of SEND and EHCP provision, inclusive and accessible curriculum practice, reasonable adjustments, vulnerable learner support and initiatives that promote learner belonging, participation and retention. You will work closely with curriculum, Student Services, quality and other teams to ensure inclusion is embedded across learning, teaching and the wider learner experience.

The role will also lead and develop the Inclusion team, support staff training and CPD in inclusive practice, monitor inclusion and vulnerable learner data, and contribute to quality enhancement and regulatory assurance processes. You will support complex learner cases, maintain effective records and reporting, and help ensure EFI Group is prepared for Ofsted, OfS and SEND-related inspection activity.

As a key member of the wider leadership community, you will champion a culture of inclusion, belonging and equity across EFI Group, while deputising for the Associate Director of Belonging & Inclusive Practice on operational matters as required.

About you

Experience: Proven leadership experience within a SEND, inclusion or student support setting in post-16 education, including experience managing and developing specialist staff at deputy/senior level. Experience overseeing SEND and EHCP provision and working with learners, parents/carers, local authorities and external agencies. Experience supporting vulnerable learners and contributing to learner participation, retention and outcomes.

Expertise: Strong working knowledge of SEND, EHCP processes and inclusive and accessible educational practice. Good understanding of Ofsted, OfS and relevant SEND policy and regulatory frameworks. Understanding of belonging, learner participation and support for vulnerable learners.

Skills: Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across learners, staff, parents/carers and external agencies. Strong organisational and data analysis skills, with experience monitoring performance, identifying trends and using data to support improvements in learner outcomes. Ability to lead, coach and develop specialist teams and deliver training or CPD on inclusive practice.

Values: A collaborative and inclusive leader who is committed to promoting belonging, participation and positive learner experiences. Ability to champion inclusive practice, support staff development and work collaboratively across curriculum, Student Services, quality and other teams to remove barriers to learning and ensure learners with SEND and vulnerable learners are supported to achieve their potential.
