Join FareShare Sussex & Surrey as a volunteer driver and help get good food to people who need it most. From our busy Brighton warehouse, you’ll be out on the road delivering surplus food to our Guildford hub - where the food will then reach community groups and frontline organisations supporting thousands of people.

FareShare Sussex & Surrey is a charity project that redistributes surplus food from a busy warehouse in Moulsecoomb, Brighton, with another hub in Guildford. We redistribute this food to a broad range of different smaller charitable organisations across communities in Sussex and Surrey. Although independently funded, we are part of a national network of regional centres working to alleviate food poverty and reduce food waste across the UK. Our support reaches 25,000 people each week.

The Role

  • Driving a FareShare Sussex & Surrey van to deliver food to our Guildford hub - then returning to Brighton
  • Afternoon shifts 13.30 - 17.30
  • Occasionally collecting surplus food donations from local suppliers
  • Carrying out vehicle checks before each shift
  • Providing a friendly, reliable service to the organisations we support
  • Representing FareShare out in the community
