About the role

We are excited to announce that we are recruiting for a fantastic Rent Advisor to join our friendly team. If you thrive in a bustling environment, love keeping things organised, and enjoy interacting with people, this role could be the perfect fit for you!

About the role:

This is a rewarding opportunity to support residents at critical moments, helping them sustain their tenancies while protecting vital income for essential services. As a Rent Advisor, you will manage rent accounts, working directly with residents to resolve arrears, agree repayment plans and provide practical, empathetic support tailored to individual circumstances.

You will take ownership of your cases from end to end, including preparing legal action, attending court and evictions, and visiting residents in their homes when needed. This is a varied, people-focused role where strong judgement, resilience and communication skills are key to achieving the right outcomes.

Alongside your core duties, there will be an expectation to provide cover for other rent accounts at short notice, and to take part in a weekly office rota managing incoming and outgoing post. This role also involves attending properties, court hearings and working with external services, offering a hands-on and visible presence within the community. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who is organised, adaptable and motivated by making a genuine impact in people’s lives.

About you:

We are looking for someone who brings strong communication skills, sound judgement and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be organised, adaptable and comfortable managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment. Just as importantly, you will have the empathy and determination needed to support residents while balancing the commercial realities of rent recovery.

We are a friendly bunch who value collaboration and creativity, and we believe that a positive, supportive culture is key to our success. If you have previous relevant experience and a genuine passion for helping others, we want to hear from you!

At Fairhive Homes, we are driven by a simple yet powerful vision: Homes for Living, Communities for Life. This isn’t just what we do; it’s what we strive for every day. Benefits:

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your career in an empowering environment where your contributions are valued and recognised. At Fairhive, we invest in your wellbeing. You can join our Health Cash plan which enables you to claim money back against a wide range of services and treatments. We believe that flexibility fosters a more productive and enjoyable working environment. Therefore, depending on the role requirements, we offer flexible working conditions that help you balance your work and life! You’ll be part of a mission-driven organisation that makes a tangible difference in the community, allowing you to feel fulfilled in your work every day.

Our commitment to you:

We’re focused on creating a workplace that celebrates inclusivity and diversity. We want everyone to feel comfortable bringing their true selves to work, contributing their unique perspectives and talents. We recognise that our differences are what make us stronger and are committed to having our teams reflect the diverse communities we serve. We are really proud of our initiatives to become an employer of choice, whether it’s coming along to one of our Menopause Cafés, becoming one of our Neurodiversity Champions or joining one of our inclusion lunches and learn sessions. Plus, our supportive team culture and active social committee mean you’ll always have a strong network of people around you!

Ready to Apply?

We understand that not every candidate will tick every box on our list.
