The Business Development Director will play a crucial role meeting customer
acquisition and revenue growth objectives.
As Business Development Director, primary duties include setting sales targets, analysing sales
data and performing strategic planning for the sales department. This will include developing
key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies
is required to achieve the businesses financial targets.
You will also be expected to develop and implement successful business development
strategies that will expand our existing customer base and increase our market share.
This role is accountable for ensuring we have the right people, processes and initiatives in place
that are aligned to our strategy and ensure we reach our potential.
Key Activities & Responsibilities

Create and implement Sales & Business Development strategies across group.

Produce and monitor Sales Budgets & targets throughout the financial year.

Manage all commercial functions within the sales department with a focus to
mitigate associated risks to the business.

Successfully create and execute an Account Development strategy across group.

Own and hit/exceed annual personal sales targets.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships with key accounts.

Oversee campaign strategy, design and execution for marketing and sales to
optimise buyer engagement.

Management of the Marketing budgets and forecasts for the financial year.

Conduct succession planning for business continuity.

Lead, direct and mentor direct reporting lines and sales teams.

Find emerging markets, new opportunities and develop new products/services to
ensure the continued growth and profitability of the business.

Monitor and report monthly upon the Sales and Business development initiative
to the board.

Work closely with the Senior Management team to ensure projects and strategic
objectives are aligned with company strategy.

Build on the existing high-performance culture by attracting, hiring, and retaining
top sales talent.

Develop sales strategies and matrix’s for analysing sales performance.

Develop an understanding of market forces, industry trends and competitive
position.
