Do you have a good understanding of control systems for Gas, Steam and Hydro turbines? If so then I have an exciting role working for a World leader in this field.
You will be responsible for the design, development and build of new control and servo systems for gas, steam, hydro-turbines applications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, development and detail new software and hardware for new developed products
- Decision maker and adviser for control components, design, tools
- Monitoring latest trends and information in the field of automation control systems (including components, software, relevant standards and industry guidelines)
- Maintenance, support and ongoing development of software and control system structure for existing systems
- Documentation of design work including manufacturing pack (drawings, layouts, BOM, test procedures, etc)
Education and Experience:
- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a technically related subject
- Skills in programming and developing software for PLC based controls systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens are preferable)
- Understand basic control principles and control system design philosophy
- Knowledge of international standards regarding automation control system design
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and interface (Ethernet IP, DeviceNet, CanOpen, Modbus RTU/TCP, etc)
- Skills in industrial signal processing – 4-20 mA loops, F/V, etc
- Understanding work principals of field instrumentation – pressure, temperature, speed, flow sensors and transmitters; servomotors, etc
