Supply Chain Lead in Coventry
About the role
Seymour John are recruiting on behalf of a growing and ambitious business for a Supply Chain Lead to take ownership of end-to-end supply chain operations within a fast-paced environment. This is a role that offers responsibility across procurement, logistics, inventory management and customer fulfilment, with the opportunity to influence processes, drive improvements and support ongoing business growth.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a key role in ensuring products move efficiently from supplier to customer, while maintaining exceptional service levels and operational performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the complete product lifecycle from customer order through to final delivery
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential supply chain risks, implementing contingency plans where required
- Manage relationships with UK and international freight partners, negotiating competitive freight rates
- Utilise supply chain systems to track orders and improve operational efficiency
- Coordinate activities with third-party warehousing and logistics providers
- Maintain accurate supply chain reporting and data management
- Collaborate with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes

The successful candidate will be a proactive and driven supply chain professional with a strong commercial mindset, capable of operating effectively in a dynamic environment and demonstrating the following key skills/experience:
- Experience within a supply chain, logistics or operations role
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Experience using supply chain planning or management systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of KPI management and operational performance reporting
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-moving business
- Willingness to undertake occasional UK and international travel
