Enable Resourcing is recruiting for an Assistant Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major civils and structural works in Seascale, Cumbria. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or junior engineer to develop within a major infrastructure environment, supporting engineering teams across complex civils and structural packages. The role offers exposure to both site‑based and technical coordination responsibilities, providing strong career development within a structured project environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the engineering and technical delivery of civil engineering and structural works.
  • Assist with setting out and surveying activities.
  • Review drawings and technical documentation.
  • Support resolution of design queries.
  • Assist with inspections and quality assurance processes.
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
  • Support preparation of as-built drawings.
  • Assist with temporary works coordination.
  • Support subcontractor, materials and plant coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Support reporting and engineering documentation.

You will work closely with Site Engineers and Project Teams to ensure works are delivered accurately, safely and in line with programme requirements.

About You

  • Some experience within civil engineering or construction environments.
  • Exposure to major civils or structural projects (desirable).
  • A proactive and organised approach to work.
  • Strong communication and willingness to learn.
  • Civil Engineering or relevant construction qualification.

Required: CSCS card

Advantageous: Full UK driving licence
