Enable Resourcing is recruiting for an Assistant Engineer to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering major civils and structural works in Seascale, Cumbria. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or junior engineer to develop within a major infrastructure environment, supporting engineering teams across complex civils and structural packages. The role offers exposure to both site‑based and technical coordination responsibilities, providing strong career development within a structured project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the engineering and technical delivery of civil engineering and structural works.
- Assist with setting out and surveying activities.
- Review drawings and technical documentation.
- Support resolution of design queries.
- Assist with inspections and quality assurance processes.
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings.
- Assist with temporary works coordination.
- Support subcontractor, materials and plant coordination.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Support reporting and engineering documentation.
You will work closely with Site Engineers and Project Teams to ensure works are delivered accurately, safely and in line with programme requirements.
About You
- Some experience within civil engineering or construction environments.
- Exposure to major civils or structural projects (desirable).
- A proactive and organised approach to work.
- Strong communication and willingness to learn.
- Civil Engineering or relevant construction qualification.
Required: CSCS card
Advantageous: Full UK driving licence
