What are we looking for?

We are currently looking to recruit newly qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our growing Court of Protection Property & Affairs Department.

Where will you be based?

This role can be based from our Manchester office, but we would expect you to travel and work from other offices from time to time.

How many hours will you be working?

This is a full-time role which is 35 hours per week, however at EMG Solicitor we work flexibly, it’s nota9to5role,butwedoexpecttheworktobedone,whenyoudoitcanbelargelyuptoyourself, your Team Leader and the requirements of your clients.

A brief overview of the role:

This is a brilliant opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor (or someone with up to 1 year PQE) to join an expanding department that’s going from strength to strength.

What will we expect from you

Generatingwork

  • Managing Property and Affairs Deputyships
  • Assisting vulnerable and brain-injured clients and their families
  • Supporting with Trust administration, Statutory Wills, Personal Injury Trusts, and other Court of Protection applications
  • Liaising with clients in their homes, hospitals, and care settings
  • Forecasting spending, managing budgets, and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting more junior team members as your experience grows
  • Getting involved in internal projects and continuous improvement initiatives

You’ll be set up to succeed with full support, training, and a manageable caseload, allowing you to build confidence and turn cases around efficiently.

To be able to perform this job you will need.

  • NQ–1 PQE solicitor or legal executive
  • A genuine interest in Court of Protection work and supporting vulnerable clients
  • Ideally has experience managing or assisting on Property & Affairs Deputyships
  • Strong organisation and communication skills
