Course Description
Modern workplaces have been undergoing significant transformations, and the pace of change has been accelerated by developments in the new decade. Wharton’s Program: Future of Work: Leading Modern Workplaces has been designed to provide participants with a reliable framework to successfully navigate changes in modern workplaces. The program will provide participants with new trends happening at the workplace and in the labor market, understanding of the eight forces affecting the current state of work and the impact they could potentially have in the organization. Participants will also learn to create strategies to harness the talents of a global and mobile workforce and consider immigration as a business strategy and not simply as a political topic.

Emeritus is seeking Program Leader in Future of Work: Leading Modern Workplaces for Wharton, University of Pennsylvania Executive Education. The Program Leader is a subject matter expert that shapes the student’s experience and guides students through their learning journey. Candidates must have industry experience, demonstrated knowledge of the course subject area, strong interpersonal skills, and previous experience in teaching, mentoring or other instructional role. This is a great role for someone who wants work flexibility and the chance to diversify their resume with consultancy and teaching experience. This is an independent contractor position in a remote setting.
Responsibilities of the Program Leader include but are not limited to:
- Respond to group and individual questions about program content and assignments.
- Conduct interactive webinars to stimulate student learning.
- Monitor student discussions.
- Collaborate with the Emeritus team to solve unexpected program challenges.
- Suggest improvements to ensure content is communicated clearly, accurately, and effectively in videos, assignments and collateral materials.
Qualifications for the role
- 7 plus years of extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources or any related field.
- PhD or MBA in Human Resources Management, Information Technology, or any other related field. (plus/preference Wharton Alumni)
- Proven Experience aligning HR practices with emerging trends in the workplace.
- Experience leading technology integration projects in Human Resources or in other business units.
- Experience using cutting edge or emerging technology.
- Proven experience implementing a culture of flexibility, adaptability, continuous learning within the organization, while supporting diverse working styles.
- Proven experience leading change management programs.
- Experience facilitating and teaching preferably in an online environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain a mutual comfort level while working with a diverse population.
