About the Role:
- Deliver highly tailored, engaging lessons to small groups of pupils with severe and complex SEN.
- Support children with severe learning difficulties and complex additional needs.
- Create a calm, structured, positive and nurturing environment where every learner can feel safe and supported.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to support individual needs and EHCP outcomes.
- Adapt teaching, communication and behaviour strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
- Support pupils with developing communication, independence, social and life skills.
- Monitor progress and contribute to individualised learning and support plans.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with severe and complex SEN.
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), SEMH, communication needs or complex learning needs would be advantageous.
- A calm, patient, resilient and empathetic approach to behaviour, communication and learning.
- QTS or relevant teaching qualifications preferred, although relevant SEN experience and a strong commitment to supporting pupils are highly valued.
