Developing high integrity real-time software for medical device applications Due to continued success, this Cambridge based creator of medical systems is seeking an exceptional C++ software engineer to join their engineering team.
You will be liaising closely with clients, and working alongside colleagues from disciplines such as electronics and mechanical engineering, so excellent communications skills, problem-solving ability, and initiative will be needed.
Your software expertise will allow you to design and implement dependable real-time control systems, intuitive user interfaces, and interfaces to integrate seamlessly with healthcare data repositories.
Due to the client-facing nature of the role, some UK and international travel is expected.
A good degree (2.1 or above) in Computer Science, Electronics, or similarly applicable engineering degree together with strong supporting pre-university grades (mostly A* or As at A-level, or equivalent)Substantial commercial experience of developing real-time, multithreaded software in C++ for Linux Coding skills in Python for developing automated tests and tools Familiarity with Git-based version control and unit test frameworks such as Google Test Some experience of working on medical software development, in particular knowledge of IEC 62304 would be useful.
