Location: Lowestoft Campus

Hours: Part Time - 0.4 - 14.8 Hours

Contract: Permanent - Part time - Term Time Only

Salary: Band F - (£25,811.10 - £26,025.00 FTE)

Purpose of Role: To provide specialist technical and learning support within practical learning environments, ensuring equipment, resources and workshops are safe, compliant and industry-standard, while enabling students with additional needs to access learning, develop independence and achieve their goals. The role may involve working across all East Coast College sites.

  • Industry experience in welding, engineering or a related technical field, with a passion for developing students’ vocational, employability and workplace skills.
  • Ability to support and motivate young people with learning difficulties and disabilities, helping them build confidence, independence and achieve positive employment outcomes.
  • Strong employer engagement and networking skills, with experience developing work placements, supported internships and employment opportunities within the welding sector.
  • Organised and collaborative professional with excellent communication skills, committed to safeguarding, student wellbeing, accurate record-keeping and working effectively with colleagues, employers and external agencies.
