We are working with a leading attorneys’ firm to recruit an Infrastructure and Security Manager to lead the Infrastructure team and ensure the firm’s IT environment is resilient, secure and well positioned to support ongoing transformation. This role is critical in supporting the firm’s wider business plan by strengthening system resilience, reducing downtime and providing a secure, scalable technology foundation that enables productivity and future growth.
The Infrastructure and Security Manager will take ownership of both day-to-day operational stability and longer-term strategic development of the firm’s infrastructure estate. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience across Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Azure AD, along with solid expertise in LAN, WAN and VPN networking, virtualisation platforms, storage solutions, endpoint and mobile device management, and backup and recovery. A strong understanding of IT security frameworks, firewalls, and secure infrastructure design is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing the Infrastructure team
- Establishing and embedding an Infrastructure Development Lifecycle (IDLC)
- Maintaining ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus compliance
- Developing and managing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Defining a clear technology roadmap to transition from traditional on-premises infrastructure to a modern Microsoft Azure-based environment
