We are seeking an exceptional Application Engineer to provide technical ownership for Dukosi’s global customer engagements and future product strategy.
This is a technical position responsible for defining application architectures, leading customer programmes and acting as the company’s technical authority for battery management system integration.
Working closely with Product Management, IC Design, Systems Engineering and strategic customers, you will influence both customer success and future product development while helping shape Dukosi’s long-term technology roadmap.
- KEY DUTIES
- Strategic Customer Engagement
- Build trusted technical relationships with global OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, battery manufacturers and strategic partners.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews and technology workshops.
- Guide customers from early concept development through production deployment.
- Support commercial teams by identifying technical opportunities, competitive advantages and design-win strategies.
- Represent Dukosi during customer escalations and critical programme reviews.
- Product & Technology Strategy
- Influence future semiconductor products through direct customer and market feedback.
- Work closely with Product Marketing and Design Engineering to define product requirements and technology roadmaps.
- Identify emerging industry trends in battery management, electrification and automotive.
- Contribute to patent generation and intellectual property development.
- Evaluate competitive technologies and recommend future product direction.
- System Architecture & Validation
- Define system-level validation strategies for silicon, hardware platforms and software.
- Lead development of reference architectures, evaluation platforms and design guidelines.
- Review customer system architectures and recommend optimal implementation approaches.
- Support advanced debugging, failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Technical Enablement
- Author application notes, reference designs, design guides and technical white papers.
- Deliver advanced technical training to customers, partners and internal engineering teams.
- Present Dukosi technology at industry conferences, technical forums and customer events.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with IC Design, Systems Engineering, Quality, Test, Product Management and Marketing.
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and customer support methodologies.
- Support strategic technology partnerships and ecosystem development.
EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Industry experience in Applications Engineering and / or Systems Engineering within the semiconductor or automotive sectors.
- Understanding of analogue, mixed-signal and embedded system design.
- Experience with Battery Management Systems, high-voltage battery packs and automotive electronics.
- Demonstrated success supporting complex customer design-in programmes from concept through production.
- Knowledge of automotive system architecture, EMC and / or functional safety principles.
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively at both engineering and executive levels.
- DESIRED SKILLS
- Automotive semiconductor product development.
- Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
- ASPICE and automotive development processes.
- AEC-Q100 qualification.
- Battery system architecture including cell monitoring, balancing, thermal management and pack safety.
- High-speed communication protocols including CAN FD, Ethernet, SPI and I²C.
- EMC design and compliance testing.
- Python, MATLAB or automated test development.
- Experience of using Altium schematic and PCB design tools
- PCB design and hardware validation.
