We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services, for Consultant Psychiatrist – Adult Acute to join the established team in an independent mental health hospital in Cheadle, Stockport. Set within picturesque landscaped gardens the hospital offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults. The focus of our service is to help people to live their best life in a safe and supportive environment. Working as part of a multi-skilled, experienced, motivated and creative Multi-Disciplinary Team within a 15 bed acute mental health unit for adult male and female patients offering a 24-hour admission service to support local NHS services and PICU wards. The ethos of the acute ward is to provide support in a crisis and offer therapeutic engagement during the in-patient stay. Situated within the grounds of Cheadle Royal Hospital supporting patients who present with mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, personality disorder, depression, bipolar disorder and other diagnoses. For some patients, the ward will be their first admission to a mental health ward and the MDT will support them to overcome crisis and become well enough to be discharged into the community, whether this be home or to support living.
