About the role

Industrial Electrician

Location: Southwest | Various (MOD Sites, Power Stations, Industrial Facilities) Employment Type: Permanent (subcontract available)

We are currently recruiting for experienced Industrial Electricians to work across a range of highly regulated and complex environments including MOD sites, power generation facilities, industrial plants, utilities and commercial infrastructure projects.

Role Overview You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning of electrical systems within industrial and critical infrastructure environments.

Work will vary across secure MOD facilities, energy and power projects, plants and heavy industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and maintenance of industrial electrical systems
  • Fault finding and electrical diagnostics
  • Testing, inspection and certification of electrical installations
  • Working from technical drawings and schematics
  • Ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations
  • Supporting planned and reactive maintenance works
  • Working within secure and regulated environments (including MOD sites)
  • Required Qualifications
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Essential)
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection (Essential or working towards)
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • ECS / JIB Gold Card (Desirable)
  • AM2 Qualification (Desirable)

Experience Required

  • Industrial electrical installation experience
  • Background in MOD, power generation, utilities, manufacturing or infrastructure environments
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a site team
