Children's Residential Home | Derbyshire £26800 per annum + Sleep-In Payments + Overtime Opportunities

The Opportunity

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll combine hands-on care with shift leadership responsibilities, helping to ensure the home operates smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and support.

You'll work closely with management to promote stability, consistency, and positive relationships for children and young people who may have experienced significant life challenges.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day running of the home.
  • Providing high-quality, child-centred care and emotional support.
  • Acting as a positive role model for young people and colleagues.
  • Supporting children to develop confidence, independence, and life skills.
  • Mentoring and guiding Residential Support Workers on shift.
  • Managing safeguarding concerns and promoting safe practice.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working within a children's residential care setting.
  • Previous Senior RSW experience or readiness to progress into a senior role.
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge and professional judgement.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.
  • Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
