We are seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join our team.
This role oversees and ensures the day-to-day electrical operations within data centre environments.
This role ensures that all electrical systems are installed, maintained, and operated in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of electrical technicians and subcontractors.
- Ensure all electrical installations and maintenance work comply with relevant codes and standards.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical systems including LV and HV distribution, UPS, generators, and switchgear.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical systems, maintenance schedules, and incident reports.
- Support commissioning activities and provide technical guidance during project handovers.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
- Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties.
- Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company and group policies and procedures.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification (e. g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in supervising electrical operations in data centres or critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with HV/LV systems, UPS, generators, and BMS systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience in developing and implementing electrical safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and auditing skills.
