THE OPPORTUNITY
CPXR is recruiting for an Estimator to join a well-established general construction contractor based in Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator with a background in new build, refurbishment, or commercial construction who is looking to work on a varied portfolio of projects. You will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders, supporting business growth, and helping secure future work within a collaborative and expanding team.
THE ROLE
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a range of construction projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce detailed pricing and cost plans.
- Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and alternative construction solutions.
- Liaise with pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams throughout the tender process.
- Maintain tender records and support negotiations through to contract award.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Previous experience as an Estimator, Senior Estimator, Assistant Estimator, or Pre-Construction Estimator.
- Background working for a main contractor on new build, refurbishment, fit-out, or general construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
