I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive OEM based in Woking who are seeking a Graduate Business Analyst to join their fast and growing team.

Purpose of the Role:

As part of an enterprise CAD upgrade project (transitioning from VPM-CATIAv5 to 3D Experience-CATIA V6), the BPA role involves “thinking processes”, advising on inferences from process and data requirements, supporting identification of gaps and improvement opportunities with other functional analysts, testing improved and new processes, as well as validating training materials.

A key aspect of this role is to support business user engagement, interfacing with multiple technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), capturing their requirements, pain points, and maintaining a library of use case, process and method artefacts on current, improved and new CAD engineering and related CAD data management scope.

Another key aspect of this role includes data requirement gathering to support the definition and validation of improved and new processes, supporting technical and IT consultants in aligning process, test data and data migration requirements.

The BPA will typically be able to structure amounts of information within a given delivery framework, working with technical process consultants and other analysts, acting as a “custodian” and “gate keeper” on behalf of the business teams for CAD engineering and related CAD data management methods.

In this role, you will be closely liaising with and supporting business SMEs, as well as interfacing with IT SMEs, data architects and several third-party implementation SMEs.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key project SMEs across both the business and IT organisations, using these to facilitate process mapping, tracking method creation and new ways of working for CAD-related users.
  • Support logical data model definition and data quality profiling.
  • Work with SMEs to identify data requirements and support process mapping.
  • Maintain use case / process / method inventory on behalf of the business.
  • Support testing and data migration activities with the implementation team.
  • Ensure new business functions and processes are appropriately documented; report on delivery progress and gap analysis (in a PMO and support type of capacity only).
  • Document any information elicited in workshops or meetings using XLS spreadsheets, basic process maps and business requirement documents.
  • Support documentation of to-be methods and present new process designs to stakeholders for discussion.
  • Monitor, measure and provide feedback on business requirement matters.
  • Test and execute processes following a script created by other project SMEs.
  • Collate feedback on process performance.
  • Liaising with multiple users and teams.

Skills & Experience (Desired):

  • 2-3 years’ experience in business analyst roles or similar on IT-enabled business change initiatives.
  • Understanding of business requirement gathering and validation tracking (e.g. V-model).
  • Knowledge of process mapping and business process re-engineering.
  • Knowledge of basic CAD processes and standards.
  • Knowledge of basic engineering data management principles.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and meetings.

Personal Attributes:

  • Good team player with consultative style.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Good levels of resilience.
  • Able to query others to request clarification, highlight gaps or conflicting requirements.
  • Good analytical skills to proactively perform comparative analysis.
  • Eager to learn and build relationships in supporting multiple business functions.

Are you a graduate? Do you have an engineering placement/work experience within the above? Then please apply now.

Please note: Due to the high level of applicants, only successful candidates will be contacted. Unfortunately, candidates requiring visa sponsorship CANNOT be considered for this role. To apply you MUST have either an EU/UK passport or a Visa that does not require sponsorship.
