We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established commercial vehicle maintenance business based near Whitminster, Gloucester, who are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic / Technician to join their busy workshop team.
Offering up to £22 per hour, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday role within a modern, well-equipped workshop.
The business operates and maintains a fleet of approximately 65 vehicles and trailers, including tippers, concrete mixers and a range of specialist commercial vehicles.
They also carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs for external customers, providing plenty of variety within the role.
The Role
As an HGV Mechanic / Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of HGVs, trailers and specialist commercial vehicles.
You will work as part of an experienced workshop team while also being trusted to work independently and use your own initiative.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, day shifts, offering an excellent work-life balance.
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in HGV repair and maintenance
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of commercial vehicle maintenance
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Organised, proactive and self-motivated
- Good communication skills
- Accurate when completing maintenance records
- Flexible and reliable approach to work
HGV licence preferred but not essential.
