HGV Technician – Aberdeen £45,000 – £53,500 per annum + overtime | Early/Late Rota | 40 Hours + Saturday Morning Overtime We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading commercial vehicle business for an experienced HGV Service Technician to join their established depot in Aberdeen on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced HGV Technician looking to join a professional workshop environment, working with a respected business and a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles. The Role As an HGV Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs to a high standard, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable and compliant. Your duties will include: * Carrying out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles * Interpreting job cards and repair orders and completing work in line with instructions * Diagnosing and reporting vehicle faults accurately * Carrying out testing and identifying any additional work required * Recording all work completed and tests undertaken accurately * Keeping your allocated workshop area clean, safe and organised * Keeping up to date with the latest technical information and attending relevant training * Working efficiently to meet workshop targets and deadlines * Supporting colleagues and contributing positively within a small, experienced team * Maintaining a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times You should have: * Previous experience working with HGVs / heavy commercial vehicles * Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills * A good understanding of commercial vehicle systems * The ability to accurately diagnose faults and complete repairs * Excellent attention to detail * Good communication and teamwork skills * A flexible and reliable approach to your work * A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship Package & Benefits * £45,000 – £53,500 salary, depending on experience * 40-hour working week * Early/Late shift rota * Saturday morning overtime available * Overtime opportunities * Bonus scheme * Excellent pension * Company vehicle scheme * 25 days' annual leave + bank holidays * Full manufacturer training and ongoing development * Permanent employment with an established commercial vehicle organisation This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician looking for long-term career development, excellent earning potential and the opportunity to work with a major commercial vehicle manufacturer.
