About the role

Pay: £427.20 - £498.40 Per week

Start Date: ASAP or September

Full Time: Monday – Friday

Location: Wolverhampton

Connex Education are currently working with a specialist school with vulnerable children who are looking for individuals to join their school setting and help their students improve and grow both academically and socially and emotionally, giving them the correct guidance they need. This is an extremely rewarding role and is great for individuals with backgrounds in the police force, working with young offenders, behaviour mentors, youth councillors, and those with military backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Building lasting relationships with pupils who come from a difficult upbringing
  • Making a lasting impact on young children’s lives
  • Helping students develop their social, emotional, and life skills
  • Guiding young students in the right direction and helping them develop as a person
  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with SEMH and SEN

Requirements:

  • Experience in dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Experience in dealing with children who have both SEMH and SEN needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain this
  • Must be available to work full time
