The company

My client is a well-established Microsoft-focused managed services provider and technology consultancy. They help businesses, public sector bodies and not-for-profit organisations get the most out of their technology, across cloud, cyber security, data and Power Platform. They put people at the centre of what they do, building long-term client relationships and a culture where their staff do well. They're growing and want to add an experienced Corporate Account Manager to the sales team.

The role

You'll manage and grow a portfolio of named customer accounts. You'll be the commercial lead and single point of contact for your clients, and you'll keep them informed about what the Microsoft ecosystem can do for their business. Along the way you'll find new opportunities through cross-sell, upsell and whitespace growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Building and running account, stakeholder and opportunity plans for your portfolio
  • Working with pre-sales, technical specialists and consultants to find, qualify and progress opportunities
  • Building a qualified pipeline by focusing on the value you create for each client
  • Understanding each client's business and sector drivers, challenges and pain points, and spotting where a successful proposition can be repeated across clients or sectors
  • Responding to formal procurement processes, including RFI, RFQ and RFP submissions
  • Understanding commercial contracts, their key terms and how they affect both parties
  • Keeping CRM data, pipeline, forecasts and contract renewals accurate
  • Managing gap analysis by month, quarter and year against sales targets and pipeline KPIs

What they're looking for

  • A proven track record in account management or sales within the technology sector
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics, Power Platform, security)
  • Experience using a structured sales methodology
  • Good commercial and financial awareness, and confidence analysing and presenting data
  • Experience with tenders and formal procurement
  • A drive to succeed, resilience in a target-driven environment and a habit of prospecting
  • Strong relationship skills with clients and colleagues, openness to coaching and a commitment to ongoing learning, including Microsoft accreditations
  • An organised, structured approach to managing your time and tasks

What's on offer

  • Β£50,000 - Β£75,000 basic salary, with clear routes to progress
  • Structured training and development through an in-house academy
  • 23 days' holiday plus bank holidays, rising with length of service, an extra day off for your birthday and the option to buy more
  • Company pension and life assurance
  • A health cash plan and Employee Assistance Programme
  • Cycle to work, electric vehicle and tech schemes, plus retail discounts
  • A relaxed dress code and a strong social calendar
