In this role, you will contribute to an insurance firm in London by supporting production tracking, forecasting, planning, and broader FP&A activities for the organisation’s P&C division. You will work within a global, collaborative environment focused on innovation, professional growth, and continuous process improvement.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will monitor new business and renewal bookings using BI tools, track outstanding premiums and reinsurance items, and work with stakeholders to ensure timely accruals and corrections.
  • The role includes monthly production and technical P&L variance analysis, as well as managing production and commission accruals.
  • You will support forecasting and planning by gathering production expectations, completing system adjustments, maintaining variance commentary, and reconciling data across BI platforms.
  • Additional responsibilities include supporting strategic planning, managing ad-hoc queries, preparing key reports (e.g., T&E and Submission/Quote/Bound stats), and driving automation and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Tracking and Analysis: Monitor new business and renewal bookings, identify outstanding premium/reinsurance items, and perform monthly production variance analysis by caption and line of business.
  • Financial Reporting and Accrual Management: Manage monthly/quarterly production and commission accruals, highlight outstanding bookings, and assist with technical P&L variance analysis.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Gather production expectations from underwriting teams, complete adjustments in planning systems, reconcile plans across BI tools, and support strategic planning and technical P&L forecasting.
  • Error Resolution and Stakeholder Liaison: Identify booking errors, liaise with Operations/BI teams for corrections, and handle ad-hoc finance and underwriting queries.
  • Reporting and Communication: Produce and distribute reports such as T&E reporting and Submission/Quote/Bound statistics and communicate monthly projections to management.
  • Process Improvement and Automation: Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance automation while maintaining accuracy.
  • Cost management: Involved with cost management and expenses.

What we’re looking for:

  • Must have CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Experience in FP&A or analytical finance roles.
  • Proven ability to deliver process improvements.
  • Strong reporting and analytics capabilities, including both regular cycles and ad‑hoc analysis.
  • Proficiency with reporting and BI tools.
