I’m partnering with a global firm looking for an Oracle EPBCS specialist to join its Finance Systems team.
With a growing Oracle EPM platform and further development planned, this is an opportunity to combine hands‑on technical work with a close working relationship with Finance. You’ll help improve existing applications, deliver new functionality and turn reporting requirements into practical system solutions.
The opportunity
Working between Finance and IT, you’ll be part of an internal team supporting users across multiple countries. Your work will span both ongoing platform improvements and new projects, from refining existing processes to building something completely new.
What you’ll be doing
- Translate business requirements and Excel-based models into Oracle EPBCS solutions.
- Develop forms, calculations, reports and data integrations.
- Take ownership of development workstreams, from design and configuration through to testing and user training.
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting, strengthen controls and improve data quality.
- Support day‑to‑day application performance and help Finance users get more from the platform.
- Work with transformation and project teams to deliver enhancements across planning and reporting.
What they’re looking for
- Strong hands‑on Oracle EPBCS/PBCS experience.
- A good understanding of finance processes, particularly planning, forecasting or financial reporting.
- Experience developing and supporting applications within a complex organisation.
- The ability to work directly with stakeholders, understand their requirements and explain technical solutions clearly.
- A proactive approach to improving systems and resolving issues.
- Groovy scripting, Power BI and an accountancy qualification would be useful, but aren’t essential.
This could suit someone already working in an internal Finance Systems team, or an Oracle EPM consultant looking to take longer‑term ownership of a platform as it evolves.
