Climate Action is a mission‑led convening platform accelerating global climate solutions by connecting leaders across business, finance, policy, and civil society. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of that network engaging senior stakeholders shaping key global moments such as the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP) and London Climate Action Week. You’ll help bring together decision‑makers from governments, UN agencies, investors, business and industry to drive real‑world positive impact.
As part of the delegate acquisition team, you’ll support the full audience journey, from outreach and invitations through to registration and attendance, helping deliver a seamless, high‑quality experience for our global community. You’ll play a key role in growing and engaging our network of 120K+ sustainability professionals by identifying new audiences, managing communications, and building strong relationships across our events portfolio.
This role is ideally suited to a highly organised and proactive individual with excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage effectively with senior stakeholders. The purpose of this role is to connect and engage high‑level individuals who hold the influence and capacity to drive positive change. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong aptitude for relationship‑building and a genuine interest in mission‑led work. This position offers valuable hands‑on experience in the delivery of high‑profile, purpose‑driven events within a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute targeted audience acquisition campaigns across email, LinkedIn, CRM platforms, and partner channels to drive qualified delegate registration.
- Support the planning and optimisation of multi‑channel delegate acquisition campaigns, using data and insights to improve performance and delegate conversion rates.
- Assist in managing the registration journey, including sending out invitations, RSVP tracking, confirmations, and pre‑event engagement communications.
- Monitor campaign and registration performance against KPIs, identifying trends and making data‑driven recommendations to improve results.
- Segment and maintain delegate data within CRM systems to enable effective targeting, personalisation, and reporting.
- Create and schedule compelling audience communications, including invitations, reminders, and pre‑event content.
- Track, analyse and report engagement metrics (open rates, click‑through rates, conversion) to continuously refine outreach strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing, production, and commercial teams to align audience targeting with event positioning and value propositions.
- Manage inbound enquiries and delegate communications, ensuring a professional and responsive experience.
- Support onboarding of delegates onto event platforms to increase engagement and networking participation.
- Contribute to post‑campaign and post‑event analysis, including performance reporting, attendance tracking, and audience insights.
Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level.
- Knowledge of sustainability and climate.
- Audience acquisition experience desirable.
- Highly motivated with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Good communication & organisation skills.
- Passion for sustainability.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and LinkedIn.
- Proficient CRM skills and knowledge and understanding of event registration platforms (desirable but not essential).
- Able to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Confident communications and influencing skills, especially on the telephone.
