About the role

Job Overview

We’re recruiting for a Prescribing Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.

This is a permanent position on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract at a high‑Qo F training practice, offering flexible hours and supportive GP colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Manage acute and repeat prescription requests, ensuring safe and effective prescribing.
  • Support long‑term condition management and contribute to medicines optimisation across the practice.
  • Run pharmacist‑led clinics (face‑to‑face and remote) for medication‑related issues.
  • Act on medicine‑related tasks from total triage and Patch S online consultations.
  • Lead on medicines safety, audits, MHRA alerts, and antimicrobial stewardship.

Qualifications and Training

Applicants will be trained in the treatment of Minor Illnesses and Independent Prescribing.

Experience with patient medication reviews, SMRs, and medication optimisation is required.

Benefits

£70,000 FTE salary, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, and training and progression opportunities.
