Within this pivotal role you will act as a strategic partner to the executive team, ensuring HSEQ is fully integrated into business decision-making while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, governance, risk management, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a clear HSEQ strategy aligned to business objectives
- Provide strategic leadership to drive a proactive safety and quality culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop regional HSEQ teams to ensure consistent performance and engagement
- Strengthen governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with UK, Irish, and Nordic regulations and standards
- Oversee risk management processes, including identification, mitigation, and reporting of operational risks
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, environmental performance, and quality systems
- Act as the senior point of contact for regulatory bodies, audits, and external stakeholders
- Ensure robust incident investigation processes and the implementation of preventative measures
This is a senior leadership role with the opportunity to drive meaningful change, embed a high-performance culture, and strengthen governance across a complex, multi-site logistics operation. Significant experience in a senior HSEQ leadership role ideally within a 3PL, logistics, or supply chain environment.
Qualifications
- Strong strategic capability, able to influence at executive levels
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a focus on cultural change
- Expertise in risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks
- In-depth knowledge of HSEQ legislation and regulatory frameworks across the UK, Ireland, and ideally the Nordics
- Success in building and leading a highly performing, multi-site and remote team able to implement continuous improvement and engagement
- Hold relevant professional qualifications, such as NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
