Accounts Payable Team Leader

Location: Swindon, UK

Position Summary

Late Shift: 14.00‑22.00, Monday‑Thursday, 09.00‑17.00 Fridays. (3 days onsite, 2 days hybrid)

Catalent Pharma Solutions is seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Payable Team Leader to support and lead a busy AP team at our expanding Swindon site. You will supervise a team of seven Accounts Payable Analysts, overseeing high‑volume AP activities, driving performance, and supporting UK sites within a fast‑paced Shared Services environment.

The Accounts Payable function plays a critical role in managing the processing and review of all global transactions between Catalent and its suppliers—ensuring invoices are approved, processed, and paid accurately and on time. The Role

  • Supervise day‑to‑day activities within the Financial Shared Service Centre Accounts Payable team
  • Oversee assigned site processing and drive successful AP KPIs
  • Act as the first point of escalation for complex invoice processing queries
  • Build strong relationships with global sites and lead weekly or bi‑weekly AP resolution meetings
  • Serve as a senior member of the Global Shared Services team, ensuring timely and compliant vendor payments
  • Mentor and coach Accounts Payable Analysts, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Manage payment controls and ensure supplier payments meet internal policy and compliance requirements
  • Act as deputy for the AP Team Manager during periods of leave or absence
  • Perform additional ad‑hoc duties as required

The Candidate

  • Previous Accounts Payable processing and payment experience
  • Proven supervisory or team‑leading experience, including coaching or training others
  • Solution‑oriented with experience in process improvements
  • Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, Oracle, Sage, SAP, or Great Plains (advantageous)
  • Ability to multitask and demonstrate strong diplomatic communication
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AP software
